Roofing works at Christ the King Church comprised the a part replacement of the existing lead roof coverings, carried out with careful consideration to the building’s heritage and architectural character.
The works included the removal of the original lead system and installation of new code-compliant lead coverings, formed to traditional detailing to ensure longevity and compatibility with the existing structure. The existing roof lanterns were carefully overhauled, including the installation of new glazing and a new terne-coated steel gutter lining was installed to the box gutter, providing a durable and long-lasting solution to manage rainwater effectively
