New Southgate Crematorium
Contract Value: £100k
Roofing works at New Southgate Crematorium involved the careful removal of the existing slate coverings and full renewal to match the original aesthetic. The roof was re-slated using a combination of SSQ Del Carmen Ultra natural slates, with SSQ Riverstone incorporated as feature banding to replicate the original detailing. Insulation was upgraded to improve thermal performance, alongside comprehensive leadwork including the installation of a new perimeter gutter and renewal of all flashings. Existing rainwater goods were also refurbished as part of the works.
In addition to the roofing package, stone cleaning was carried out to various building façades to enhance the overall appearance, along with localised pointing repairs to maintain the integrity of the masonry.
